Port Authority of the Eastern Ligurian Sea

Legislative Decree dated 4th August, 2016, no. 169, that reorganizes, rationalizes and simplifies the regulatory framework concerning Port Authorities in Law no. 84 dated 28th January, 1994, institutes the Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mar Ligure Orientale (Port System Authority of the Eastern Ligurian Sea) (Ports of La Spezia and Marina di Carrara).

The actions outlined in the decree will allow the two ports to become a system capable of creating employment and economic development under the banner of new governance, simplification and efficiency.

AdSP (The Port System Authority) is a non-profit public body with administrative, budgetary and financial autonomy that directs, plans, coordinates, promotes and controls port operations. It performs maintenance of the common areas, maintains the seabed, supervises the provision of services of general interest, exclusively administers the state areas and property, and plans the development of the port territory. Furthermore, the AdSP (Port System Authority) is subject to the guidance and supervision of the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport.
